February, 2015 Ministry Update

700 Action Bible New Testaments and 2,000 Story of Jesus heading to Liberia:
In our effort to see a healthy church in every town and village of Liberia, we are intensifying our efforts to minister in the schools and to communicate the Gospel to illiterate people using pictures.  43.6% of Liberia's population are under the age of 15 and nearly 80% of the people we work with are illiterate.  If we can reach Liberia's youth and illiterate, we will change the nation.  We have purchased 700 copies of the Action Bible New Testament and have been given 2,000 copies of the Story of Jesus booklet to minister in the schools and to reach the illiterate in Bong County.  After developing a proven method of reaching the youth and the illiterate, we will expand this ministry to the rest of Liberia.

Land has been purchased in Maryland County:
Our land in Maryland County
In 2011, Wordsower sent two of our sacrificial leaders to Maryland County to reach Maryland, Grand Kru, and River Gee counties for Christ.  Since that time, God has opened the door for them to work in 176 towns and villages in these counties.  Maryland's ministry has outgrown the small house they were renting so we have purchased land and are constructing a permanent base in Maryland.  After the base is complete, we will start a small business there with the goal that Maryland's base will become completely self-supported.

We are now ministering in Lofa County:
For the first time we have entered Lofa county.  Liberia has 15 counties.  Lofa makes the 13th county that we have worked in.  We now have a minister, we have trained, discipling in the capital, Voinjama.  Lofa County was hit hard by Ebola.  It also has an unreached people group called the Mandingo-Manya tribe.  This tribe is 100% Muslim. Entering this tribe for evangelizing, discipling and church planting is one of our goals.

No Ebola in Liberia:
Praise God, Liberia has not had any new Ebola cases for 3 weeks!  In Liberia there have been 8,745 cases of Ebola and 3,746 deaths.  Liberia's schools are now reopening.  For almost 1 year all schools of Liberia have been closed because of the Ebola outbreak.  Last month, we assisted over 60 of our sacrificial field leaders with school fees so their children could attend school.

The Riley family is returning to Liberia:
March 26th, the Riley family will be returning to Liberia.  When they return, they will join our team of Liberian field leaders in Bong county with the mission of evangelizing and discipling Bong, Lofa, and Montserrado Counties.

Kim Smith is in the States:
Kim is in the States for two more months.  His return flight will be April 30th.  His phone number is 937-419-9664.  He can also be reached by email: wordsowerintl@gmail.com.

Prayer requests:
Pray for a great revival to sweep through this country, pray that Liberia will have a healthy church in every village in our generation, and pray for our leaders who truly suffer for the Gospel.  Pray for the Riley family as they prepare to return. Pray that our Lord will give us the wisdom and courage to stand against this new ISIS threat to West Africa.

February’s Statistics:
- We went on 106 mission trips.  Many towns we went to more than once.  A mission trip can
