I was reading
in John this morning. Jesus says in
5:24 “I tell you the truth, whoever hears
my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not be condemned.”
It made me think of Roman’s 10:14, “How, then, can they call on the
one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they
have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?”
Recent religious statistics shows that 48.4%
of the population of Liberia is of an animistic demonic religion, 13.0% is
Muslim, and 10% are evangelical Christian.
Of the 16 tribes 5 are still considered unreached. Over 60% of the Liberia’s population is still
unreached. It is the appointment of our
generation to make Christ known to this generation. In verses 6:38-40 Jesus says, “For
I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who
sent me. And this is the will of him who
sent me, that I shall lose none of all that he has given me, but raise them up
at the last day. For my Father’s will is
that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life,
and I will raise him up at the last day.” He also says in Jn 5:30, “I seek not my own will but the will of Him who sent me.” He suffered, sacrificed and died for the
lost. Let us pray to have His heart and
passion.
Currently
I am in the USA because of a motorbike accident while on mission in
Liberia. I am ok, recovering. Still having a few aches but am hopeful that
they will heal. My plans are to return
at the end of October or the first of November.
My phone number while here is 937-710-6999.
While I am in USA our
trained teams of sacrificial disciples are continuing to make Christ known in
Liberia. In August they:
·
Went on missions in 4 counties· Presented Christ in 34 villages and towns
· Taught 2 regional 3 day workshops
· Showed the Jesus film 10 times
· Distributed Bibles
· Baptized
· Distributed 1000’s of pages of Bible teaching material
We also have teams that were trained in the refugee camps
in Liberia. They have returned home to
Ivory Coast. They also are sacrificially presenting
Christ to that Muslim dominated country.
We are training missionary teams to go into the unreached tribes in Liberia and Ivory Coast. Right above Liberia is North Africa, most of the countries in North Africa 95-99% Muslim. We pray that our Lord will raise up Liberian missionary teams to go into North Africa. We pray that North Africa will also hear and know the Gospel of Christ.
Praise God! World Missionary Press has given us 3,000
French NT Bibles and 1,000’s of tracts. We will use in them in French speaking Ivory
Coast. They have also given us 1,000’s
of English tracts and have committed to send us much more in the future!
Please pray with us for Liberia. Pray that every Liberian will know the truth
of Christ and that every Liberian will one day have access to a healthy church. Pray for our missionary teams now in Ivory Coast. Also pray for North Africa and that our Lord
will raise up Liberian missionary teams who will go to them.
