Our on-site leaders and the donations of churches and individuals from abroad are bringing in a great harvest. We need the unity of us all, His Church, to accomplish our Lord’s command to reach the world. Thank you for your active love and faith. Thank you for sacrificing with us.

God prepares and calls the lost:

“No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day.” Jn 6:44. Our Lord prepares the hearts of the people. No one can come to God in faith if the have not been prepared, by Him. Jesus said, “What gives life is God's Spirit; human power is of no use at all. The words I have spoken to you bring God's life-giving Spirit... This is the very reason I told you that no people can come to me unless the Father makes it possible for them to do so." Jn 6:63-65. No one can come to Jesus, nor can we lead others into salvation if our Lord has not prepared them first with His Spirit. “When the Gentiles heard this, they were glad and praised the Lord's message; and those who had been chosen for eternal life became believers.” Acts 13:48. The testimonies below are not from our great wisdom or presentation. We show up in obedience and God does His work. “How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” Rom 10:14-15.

Testimonies from our Bases

From our indigenous missionary team in Sierra Leone:

“Good evening my dear brethren. Our Lord has done a marvelous and wonderful work today in an unreached churchless village called ******. We did a day long mission there and asked if we could show the Jesus film. They agreed for us to show it, in their Temne dialect, the next day. We arrived during their Muslim prayer time, so we waited until the prayer ended. More than 300 people gathered to view the show. We called upon the Imam to pray before we started. The Imam prayed. Almost everybody was praying the Muslim’s prayer way by having their hands open. Afterwards, we thanked the Imam and began the show. In the middle of the show, many of the people were shedding tears and shouting. After it finished, 143 people gave their lives to Christ and were willing to be baptized. The next morning, we baptized 162 people. Interestingly, this resistant, churchless, Muslim village, of an unreached tribe, has given birth to a new church! Pray that our Lord will guide and protect all the new converts in ****** village. Lord thank you for leading us to this Village and for delivering these souls. Everybody everywhere needs to hear the Gospel. We go.”

These Muslim converts have saving faith, though immature. No Muslim baptizes flippantly. They know their baptism will create, life devastating, personal persecution. And look carefully at the “water” they were baptized in! Green slim had to be pushed aside for them to be immersed in that stagnant, glutinous, sludge. 162 were baptized in it. The faithless would never enter there!

“Today is another wonderful day in the history of Wordsower Sierra Leone. We baptized two people yesterday in a churchless village called ******. They are believed to be the only Christians in this village. Esther, one of the two new baptized converts, was only a two day old Christian. She is an eleventh grade student of the nearby senior secondary school. While walking home from school she witnessed to two of her friends. By the grace of God, one of them accepted Jesus. Upon our arrival with their baptism certificates, Esther quietly rushed to us and said I have talked to my friends and one of them accepted Jesus and is willing to be baptized. As a team, we prayed with Marie and baptized her. How could a new convert who had just been baptized the day before lead another Muslim to Christ for salvation? God can use anybody at anytime to accomplish his mission. Pray for Esther that the Lord will use her to do more. Everybody everywhere needs to hear the Gospel.”

From our indigenous missionary team in Lofa County, Liberia:

“We did a training, 23 attended. The town did not have a church building so we did the training under a big tree. We showed the Jesus film in the evenings. The first night 47 viewed and three people gave their lives to God. The second night 55 viewed and 7 people gave their lives to God. Mr. Saylee said, he was a very wicked man. The night after the first day of our training he had a dream, he saw himself walking towards a huge fire. As he was getting close to the fire, someone spoke to him and said, “Go and baptize.” In his dream he saw a building and was told to enter it and pray. He woke up from sleep greatly disturbed. That day he went with his wife to the building where we were training. He told us that he wanted to be baptized. So we spent time with him teaching him the scriptures, prayed with him, and baptized him. A 99 year old woman also attended the training and was baptized. After the training the village is requesting for us to help them start a church.

From our indigenous missionary team in Gbarpolu County, Liberia:

Our mission to the prison was great! We talked with 32 prisoners, and 3 prayed for salvation. One was a Muslim man named Mohammed. He is the head of all the prisoners. They call him 5-star. 5-star surrendered to Jesus. We gave him 5 Bibles and our Bible marking training so that he could start training disciples. He was once a leader under Satan’s rule, he is now being transformed by God to make disciples in God’s kingdom.

Praise God! He called and sent us reinforcements:

Bryan Bame, from Michigan, and Lee Trisler, from Ohio, came to provide much needed service and training. Wordsower Africa has a new financial board. Bryan is the treasurer of our board. He came to train us in accounting and how to produce reports on Excel. Also he came to observe our ministry first hand. This made Lee’s third trip here. He is a master pressman! We purchased a new press. In America, he reconditioned it. After it was delivered he came to set it up and tuned up our existing press. Both men were essential and much appreciated. Thank you!!!

Other short-term and long-term reinforcements are invited and needed. Pray to see if you are being called to be sent.

2022 End of Year Report

We are in 4 countries: Ivory Coast, Sierra Leone, Guinea, and Liberia. We have 7 bases: 4 in Liberia, 1 in Ivory Coast, 1 in Sierra Leone and 1 in Guinea. From the unity of our bases and you who participate have seen a great harvest.

3,134 - Total times we ministered in communities/villages/towns/cities
2,279 - Total mission trips
1,922 - Persons who were baptized
1,197- Wordsower Bible Institute student attendance, one-week and two-week classes
9 - Churches started
555 - Churches we visited and trained pastors
70,038 - Viewed the Jesus Film, 588 times it was shown
6,754 - Attended our 1-3 days workshops-training in 109 locations.
4 - Broadcasting on community radio stations
223 - Dental patients, 255 teeth pulled
542,500 - Copies printed, 3,639 booklets made (English and French)

In our unity Wordsower Africa is advancing. We are in 4 nations and are ministering in 11 unreached tribes. Our indigenous missionary teams are seeing a move of the Holy Spirit. Of the 1,197 that were baptized, in 2022, many were from resistant Muslim churchless villages and towns of unreached tribes. Towns, for unknown generations, that outlawed the existence of churches and Christians now have churches and thriving congregations. When we evangelize, disciple and start a church in one of these communities there will be invitations from the surrounding communities to come and start a church for them.

Towns are led by a chief and Imam. Imams are the Muslim spiritual leaders of a community. Together they are powerful and rule the people. It is only by a move of the Holy Spirit that they agree to break, age-old, generational laws and give us land to start a church, and they do it with joy and enthusiasm. When the neighboring towns and villages here about what the town has done then we are invited to come to them to start a church in their town. Our teams are overwhelmed and unable to meet most of their requests.

As we are now living within this open door of God, I am reminded of the below verses:

These are the words of him who is holy and true, who holds the key of David. What he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open. I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut. I know that you have little strength, yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name. I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews though they are not, but are liars—I will make them come and fall down at your feet and acknowledge that I have loved you.” Revelation 3:7-9

Paul said, “Now when I went to Troas to preach the gospel of Christ and found that the Lord had opened a door for me.” 2 Corinthians 2:12. We are also experiencing an open door.

Paul said in 1 Corinthians 16:9, “A great door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many who oppose me.” As we advance, we are witnessing a great open door and opposition.

Paul and Barnabas returned to Antioch. “On arriving there, they gathered the church together and reported all that God had done through them and how he had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles.” Acts 14:27-28. We are also reporting to you the news of this open door of faith to the Gentiles.

Paul asked the church of Colosse to pray for them, “And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should.” Colossians 4:2-5.

Please pray with us regularly as we start a new year. There are many more unreached tribes in these 4 counties. Wordsower Africa has become an indigenous missionary training and sending hub. We are asking for your continued unity and participation so that additional indigenous missionary teams may be sent out. The doors have been opened! Let us, in unity, advance and “save others by snatching them from the fire.” Jude 1:23!!!

Thank you,
Kim
