November 2018 End of Month Report

Our Mission is to see a healthy church in every village of Liberia.  It takes many weapons to fight and win a war.  Wordsower Liberia has many weapons:

Our Weapons:

  • We sent teams on 49 missions to 84 villages/towns in 8 Counties
  • We sent a team to Ivory Coast on mission
  • We did 5, three-day trainings in 5 counties.  Many are unable to attend our school so we send teams out to do trainings.
  • 26 attended our Wordsower Bible Institute 2-week, level-3 French class. The Bible Institute trains the students in Bible doctrine, discipleship, church planting, and becoming missionaries.
  • We have an hour radio broadcast every day.  The broadcast presents the Gospel and teaches scripture.
  • Our printing press has been shut down because of mechanical problems and because we are out of paper.  The road is impassible; no cars or trucks can get through to bring supplies to the SE of Liberia.
  • Our dentist treated 17 patients and extracted 20 teeth. We have the only dentist in 6 counties.  His Gospel is presented to every patient, many of which are Muslims.
  • We have distributed hundreds of thousands of bibles in over a 1,000 villages.  For those who are illiterate we have given away many audio Bibles on small memory chips, in their dialects, that can be used in phones and music players.
  • 205 homes received water filters.  We have the assignment of providing a water filter system to every small village home in Maryland County. Every home receiving a filter will also receive his Gospel.
  • The Capemont County Missionary Team continues to be trained on our base in Zwedru while the mission housing and school are being renovated.  We plan on the team moving to Capemont County on January 4. The mission of WSL is for every village of Liberia to have a healthy church.  In Liberia we have a half million people in 5 unreached Muslim tribes.  We must go to them!!!  We have learned that to be accepted into an unreached resistant tribe we must “Give them what they want so that we can give them what they need.”  They want a school for their children, they need Salvation through Jesus Christ.  This team will be reaching the Muslim unreached Gola and Vai tribes as they give their children education.

2 Tim 2:3-4, “Endure hardship with us like a good soldier of Christ Jesus. No one serving as a soldier gets involved in civilian affairs—he wants to please his commanding officer.”  Francis in the picture below is holding the helmet he was wearing when he got into an accident.  The helmet split.  After returning from the hospital he got another helmet and went out again.  He is a true soldier of the Cross.  Francis loves the American marines and is one in our Lord’s army. Accidents will never cease.  Today many have wounds healing from the bikes, myself included.  Pray for our continued protection as we go to remote places, to the lost, and to strengthen His Church.

On December 9, this Sunday I, Kim, will be flying to Nigeria and will return to Liberia on January 4.  I feel compelled by the Spirit to go to the refugee camps to see His wounded church and to seek the lost.  Our Lord commands for us, His Church, to participate in these.

“Is not the cup of thanksgiving for which we give thanks a participation in the blood of Christ? And is not the bread that we break a participation in the body of Christ?”  1 Cor 10:16. The blood of Christ was shed for the lost.  The body of Christ was broken for His church.  We are to be participants in His sacrifice. “Then Jesus said to his disciples, if anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will find it.” Matt 16:24-25.  We, His church, must be there! Be there to care for His persecuted Church, to bring His Gospel to the unreached tribes and to the militant Muslims.  Many have been called to be there and have obeyed. The problem is huge.  Reinforcements and supplies are still needed

Participate with us in Praise and prayer:
  • Praise, a team went to Ivory Coast and have found a perfect place to lease.  Pray that we will be able to lease it.
  • Pray that we can open a new mission in Ivory Coast!  They go to enlarge and strengthen His church and to the 36 unreached tribes of 7 million people.
  • Pray for our filter team as they distribute filters in a new county, Maryland County.
  • Our indigenous missionary team is going to the unreached Vai and Gola tribes on January 4th.  Pray that our Lord will prepare our team to go and our Lord will prepare the tribes to receive.
  • Our Lord says to pray for more harvesters to be sent into the field.  Truly the harvest is plentiful and the workers few. Pray for more indigenous and foreign harvesters
100% of all donations go to the mission. None is used for administration. Tax-deductible receipts will be sent each January.

October 2018 End of Month Report

Our Mission is to see a healthy church in every village of Liberia.  It takes many weapons to fight and win a war.  Wordsower Liberia has many weapons:

Our Weapons:
  • 4 were baptized this month!
  • We sent teams on 35 missions to 46 villages/towns in 9 counties.
  • We did 6 three-day trainings in 5 counties.  Many are unable to attend our school so we send teams out to do trainings.
  • 45 attended our Wordsower Bible Institute 2-week, level-3 English class.
The road is impassible, no cars or trucks can get through to bring supplies to the SE of Liberia.
  • Our dentist treated 18 patients and extracted 23 teeth. We have the only dentist in 5 counties.  The Gospel is presented to every patient, many are Muslims.
  • We have distributed hundreds of thousands of bibles in over 1,000 villages.  For those who are illiterate, we have given away many audio Bibles on small memory chips, in their dialects, that can be used in phones and music players.
  • Our water filter team has moved to Maryland County.  We have the assignment of providing a water filter system to every small village home in the county.  The larger communities will have drilled wells. Our filter team has been there a couple weeks but the county government has not allowed them to begin.  We hope they will be released this week.  Every home receiving a filter will also receive his Gospel.
  • The Capemont County Missionary Team continues to be trained on our base in Zwedru while the mission housing and school are being renovated.  The mission of WSL is for every village of Liberia to have a healthy church.  In Liberia, we have a half million people in 5 unreached Muslim tribes.  We must go to them!!!  We have learned that in order to be accepted into an unreached resistant tribe we must, “Give them what they want so that we can give them what they need.”  They want a school for their children, they need Salvation through Jesus Christ.  This team will be reaching the Muslim unreached Gola and Vai tribes.

Praise God!! We have 11 new motorbikes on the road!  Currently, teams are using them to spread His Gospel, discipling, church planting, and training existing church leaders. Some of the bikes are being used to put water filter systems in the homes of remote small villages.  We are dancing, rejoicing, and celebrating!

I, Kim, now have one year, multiple entry visas for Ivory Coast and Nigeria.  I also have a round-trip plane ticket for Nigeria.  I fly out of Liberia on December 9th and return back to Liberia from Nigeria on January 4th.  We are just an hour from the Ivorian boarder and will go there on bikes.

Wordsower Liberia started in refugee camps for Liberians in Ghana.  In 2019, we plan on having indigenous missionary teams in all 5 unreached tribes of Liberia.  Also, next year we will be opening a new mission in Ivory Coast.  This Ivorian mission was birthed in refugee camps for Ivorians in Liberia and will be led by former refugees that were trained by Wordsower Liberia.  The primary mission of Wordsower Ivory Coast will be to train and send indigenous missionaries into the 32 unreached tribes of 7 million people.

Now we head to Nigeria.  Nigeria has refugee camps with over 2.4 million refugees plus another 4.5 million people who are depending on food assistance for survival.  Malnutrition, starvation, disease, and death sweep through these camps and the land of Northern Nigeria. It is the militant Muslims that are massacring the church and even their fellow Muslims.  The refugee camps are a strategic place to bring the Gospel to the unreached tribes.  Refugees from most of the tribes enter the camps having lost everything including the cultural isolation of their tribe and Islamic overseers.  In the loss, confusion, chaos, suffering, and violence caused by their Muslim brothers, there is a new openness to His Gospel.  We, His church, must be there! We must be there to care for His persecuted Church, to bring His Gospel to the unreached tribes, and to the militant Muslims.  Just as it has happened in Liberia and the Ivory Coast it will be the converted in the camps that will one day return to their tribes with His Gospel.  A perfect storm of sorts…if we show up!

Participate with us in Praise and prayer:
  • Praise God for our 11 new motorbikes!
  • Praise God I have visas for Nigeria and Ivory Coast
  • Pray for our filter team as they go to Maryland County to distribute filters
  • Pray for our indigenous missionary team as they prepare to go to the Vai and Gola tribes
  • Pray as we go into Ivory Coast this month searching for our Wordsower Ivory Coast base
  • Our Lord says to pray for more harvesters to be sent into the field.  Truly the harvest is plentiful and the workers few. Pray for more indigenous and foreign harvesters

September 2018 End of Month Report

Our Mission is to see a healthy church in every village of Liberia.  It takes many weapons to fight and win a war.  Wordsower Liberia has many weapons:

36 were baptized this month!

In September, we went on 21 mission trips in 2 countries – Liberia and Ivory Coast.
  • 53 towns were ministered to in 9 counties of Liberia
  • 19 towns attended our workshops in Liberia
  • 6 towns we ministered to in 2 counties of Ivory Coast
We did 4 two day trainings in 3 counties.  Many are unable to attend our school so we send teams out to do trainings.

25 attended our Wordsower Bible Institute 2-week, level 2 French class. The Bible Institute trains the students in Bible doctrine, discipleship, pastoral training and becoming missionaries. This class was for Ivorian’s.  Most of these students came from the refugee camp, some came from Ivory Coast.

We have an hour radio broadcast every day.  The broadcast presents the Gospel and teaches scripture.

Our printing press team printed 15,900 pages of teaching material and made 30 manuals.

Our dentist treated 14 patients and extracted 17 teeth. We have the only dentist in 5 counties.

We have distributed hundreds of thousands of bibles in over 1,000 villages.  For those who are illiterate we have given away many audio Bibles on small memory chips, in their dialects, that can be used in phones and music players.

Praise God!
We have received donations to purchase 11 new motorbikes.  Our old ones are junk.  They cause body damaging accidents and are constantly breaking down.  We are dancing, praising and celebrating!!!

Capemont County Missionary team assessment:
Our indigenous missionary team has returned from their assessment.  The road was bad and caused much hardship and suffering.  Below are road pictures that our teams must endure:

The mission of WSL is for every village of Liberia to have a healthy church.  In Liberia, there are a half million people in 5 unreached Muslim tribes.  We must go to them!!!  We have learned that to be accepted into an unreached resistant tribe we must, “Give them what they want so that we can give them what they need.”

In their region, there are no primary schools. The children, and a large percentage of the adults, are unschooled and illiterate.  The tribal chieftains of these tribes have warmly welcomed us because we come to restart an abandoned school. The team visited 16 villages.  In these villages, they announced their coming and the reopening of the school.  100% of all the people from these tribes welcomed them with great enthusiasm even knowing that the school will be a Christian school and will be teaching the Bible.

The assessment of the team revealed:
  • Minor repairs to the school building are needed
  • Renovation of the current chicken coop into the missionary team’s residence
  • A motorbike for the team
  • A toilet for the school and team
  • A copier, text books, notebooks, chalk, pens, etc.
Positive Observations:
  • The team feels called.  They feel this is the place they should establish their missionary base.
  • Every village greeted them and received them with enthusiasm.
  • Their location is a great location for evangelizing the Via and Gola.  Also, the Muslims in the Kpelle tribe.
Negative Observations:
  • There are over a 1,000 kids that would want to attend the school.  The school may hold 100.
  • The classrooms are narrow and small.
  • The desks are not correct for the children.  The students must stand to write.
The missionary team will live on our base while the renovations are being completed.  The team needs specific teaching on being a missionary, starting and running a school, evangelizing and discipling Muslims.  These tribes want a school, we will give it.  But, our mission is to give them what they need, Salvation through Christ.

The Filter Team continues to go:
Our team completed the distribution of water filter systems in our county, Grand Gedeh.  They distributed the filters into 1,659 homes for about 8,000 – 10,000 residents.  The Government of Liberia sent a letter stating that now in our county every resident has access to clean drinking water.  They now have either a water well with hand pump or a home water filter system.

In conjunction with The Last Well, we are now going to a new county to distribute filters.  Our team will go to Maryland County.  The distance is far so they will live there.

A Testimony:
Prince Kegbeh is my neighbor.  He was a major drug dealer and his home was becoming a significant drug house.  His supply came from Nigeria.  I got involved in his life, became a friend and shared the gospel with him.  He now believes, has been baptized, discipled and attended our Bible Institute.  For over a year he has been taking me to his former customers and other drug houses.  There we have been evangelizing and discipling.

Recently he has been going to two villages, Pineapple and Gbarwo.  (Our trained leader, Patrick, and church planter of Pineapple Village was murdered a few months ago by poison.)
Prince is now the spiritual leader of these villages and last week baptized 3 on his own!  Disciples making disciples is the strategy of Christ for reaching the world.

Participate with us in Praise and prayer:
  • Praise God, for our 11 new motorbikes!
  • Pray for our filter team as they go to Maryland County to distribute filters
  • Pray for our Missionary team as they prepare to go to the Vai and Gola tribes
  • I must return to Monrovia to get visas for Ivory Coast and Nigeria and get additional supplies for our base.  Pray that I will be able to get these visas.
  • Our Lord says to pray for more harvesters to be sent into the field.  Prince, a harvester, is an answer to our prayers.  Pray for more. Truly the harvest is plentiful and the workers few.

100% of all donations go to the mission. None is used for administration. Tax-deductible receipts will be sent each January.

August 2018 End of Month Report

Our Mission is to see a healthy church in every village of Liberia. It takes many weapons to fight and win a war. Wordsower Liberia has many weapons:

15 were baptized this month.

In August, we had 18 missions that were sent to 34 villages in 5 different counties.  In these villages we do evangelism, discipleship, church planting, and pastoral training.  A mission can be out for several days.

We also did 4 two-day trainings in 4 counties. Many are unable to attend our school, so we send teams out to do trainings in their local area. These trainings are designed for spiritual leaders and pastors.

61 attended and completed our Wordsower Bible Institute 2-week, Level 2 English class. The Bible Institute trains the students in Bible doctrine, discipleship, starting churches, and becoming missionaries. This is the second largest class that we have ever had.

Our filter team did 232 follow-up visits and installed the last 19 filters in our county.  We also repaired a well pump for the prison. The prison’s well broke down and they were drinking rain water caught from the roof. Today they are drinking clean well water.

We have an hour radio broadcast every day which presents the Gospel and teaches scripture.

Our printing press team printed 56,380 pages of teaching material and made 730 manuals.

Our dentist treated 29 patients and extracted 37 teeth. We have the only dentist in a 5 county region.

We have distributed hundreds of thousands of bibles in over 1,000 villages and have handed out many audio Bibles. These audio Bibles are installed on small memory chips in their dialects that can be used in phones and music players.

Below are some pictures of our Bible Institute that finished at the end of August:

61 students attended our level 2 class on discipleship. Our second largest class. We had to scramble to find enough chairs, mattresses and sheets.
No suit, no tie, no shoes.  Loving Liberia.

There are 3 cooks for preparing food for as many for 80. Others jump in to reduce the load

The deer here are smaller. We eat many. These are dried.
We baptized 15 in these waters in August. They are inhabited by Pythons. A couple days after baptizing we ate a python from this area…Better them then us 😊
These 61 trained disciples are from 8 counties. They are returning to spread the Gospel throughout their region.

Participate with us in Praise and prayer:
  • Praise God! Our shipments by air and land arrived safely, nothing was stolen or damaged. We have one more coming by sea. Pray it will arrive safely without anything stolen or damaged.
  • We are sending a missionary team to Grand Capemont County to the Vai and Gola unreached Muslim tribes in September to assess the land. Pray our Lord will open doors and that they will be received and be able to start a school within these tribes.
  • I have to return to Monrovia to get visas for Ivory Coast and Nigeria and get additional supplies for our base. Pray that I will be able to get these visas.
  • Truly the harvest is plentiful and the workers few. Pray our Lord will send out more harvesters into the field. Everywhere we go we are warmly received and begged to return. We need more workers… You're invited!

July 2018 Monthly Report

Our Mission is to see a healthy church in every village of Liberia. It takes many weapons to fight and win a war.  Wordsower Liberia has many weapons:

The second largest killer in Liberia is dirty water. In July, we finished distributing water filter systems in every village home of our county!!!! This month we installed the last nine water filter systems in our county. We also followed-up with 414 homes in twenty-four counties in which we previously distributed filters. We will soon start distributions in another county. Thousands of people are now drinking clean water because of our distribution. Every home visit by our filter teams also includes evangelism and discipleship.

This is Samuel distributing water filter systems in a small remote village. Thanks to the Sawyer Corporation and The Last Well organization.  Because of them, we receive these filter systems for free.

Once again, we did twenty baptisms this month.

Our teams go to the villages on motorbikes. This month twenty-nine missions were sent to fifty-seven villages in five different counties. When we go to these villages, we do evangelism, discipleship, church planting, and pastoral training. A mission can be out for several days.

Motorbikes are dangerous! We all have wreaked and bled. Many have had broken bones and one has died. The picture above is of Messiah. He wrecked while distributing water filters and his helmet split in two. I was there while they were stitching his face and hand. He saluted and said such things will always happen. He stayed on our base while healing.  A couple weeks later he came to me with a big smile stating that he could now put on a helmet and was ready to be sent out again as I looked at his scared face and smiled with tears. This exemplifies the sacrifice and spirit of our leaders.

This is Badio with a team in a village. The bikes are loaded with equipment to show the Jesus film and Bibles.

We also did two-day trainings in three counties. Many are unable to attend our school, so we send teams out to do trainings in their local area. These trainings are designed for spiritual leaders and pastors.

Our Wordsower Bible Institute completed a two-week, Level 1 French class. Sixteen people attended the class.  The Bible Institute trains the students in Bible doctrine, discipleship, starting churches, and becoming missionaries.

We have an hour radio broadcast every day which presents the Gospel and teaches scripture.

Our dentist treated twenty-eight patients and extracted thirty-one teeth. We have the only dentist in a five-county region.

Here, Stanley is preparing to do an extraction. You are always welcome to be a patient; the cost is $5.00 or a chicken.

We have distributed hundreds of thousands of bibles in over 1,000 villages and have handed out many audio Bibles. These audio Bibles are installed on small memory chips in their dialects that can be used in phones and music players.

Preparing future leaders.

Participate with us in prayer:
  • I return to Liberia this week. My load is valuable. I will arrive at 2:30 AM. Pray against the many thieves that will be waiting. Pray that the load and I will arrive safely on our base in Zwedru.
  • We are shipping 2 barrels of much needed supplies on a ship. Pray that they arrive safely.
  • Pray that we, the Wordsower Liberia leaders, will be filled with the Holy Spirit and fearlessly advance and spread the gospel.

June 2018 Monthly Report

Our Mission is to see a healthy church in every village of Liberia. It takes many weapons to fight and win a war. Wordsower Liberia has many weapons:

This month we did twenty baptisms.

Our teams go to the villages on motorbikes. This month twenty-seven missions were sent to forty villages in five different counties. When we go to these villages, we do evangelism, discipleship, church planting, and pastoral training. A mission can be out for several days.

We also did two-day trainings in three counties. Many are unable to attend our school, so we send teams out to do trainings in their local area. These trainings are designed for spiritual leaders and pastors.

We have an hour radio broadcast every day which presents the Gospel and teaches scripture.

We have distributed hundreds of thousands of bibles in over 1,000 villages and have handed out many audio Bibles. These audio Bibles are installed on small memory chips in their dialects that can be used in phones and music players.

Our Wordsower Bible Institute completed a two-week, Level 1 English class. Thirty-seven people attended the class and thirty-five received certificates.  The Bible Institute trains the students in Bible doctrine, discipleship, starting churches, and becoming missionaries.

The second largest killer in Liberia is dirty water. This month we installed 108 water filter systems in remote village homes that were previously drinking dirty water. We also followed-up 477 homes in which we previously distributed filters. Thousands of people are now drinking clean water because of our distribution. Every home visit by our filter teams includes evangelism and discipleship.

Our dentist treated sixteen patients and extracted eighteen teeth. We have the only dentist in a five-county region.

We are commanded by our Lord throughout scripture to take His Gospel of Salvation into all the earth. This assignment from our Lord to His church is so that all will hear His Gospel and have an opportunity to receive salvation. Unfortunately, we haven’t done so well according to several sources (they are listed below). We, His church, have reached 6,876 people groups, but there are still approximately 7,000 people groups that have not been reached.  That is over 3 billion people that have not had the gospel presented to them and do not know who Jesus Christ is. Today, there is one missionary for every 216,300 unreached peoples and one missionary for every 400,000 unreached Muslims.

Liberia has sixteen people groups, five of which are still considered unreached. Our Wordsower Bible Institute is preparing spiritual leaders and training others to go as missionaries. Our goal is to have indigenous missionary teams living among some of these tribes this year. Hopefully all five unreached groups will have a local missionary by the end of 2019.

We have already been working in Ivory Coast where seven million people in thirty-six unreached tribes live. By the end of this year, our prayer is to spy out the land of Nigeria. Nigeria has ninety-five unreached tribes totaling fifty-nine million people who have not yet had the Gospel presented to them.

Our assignment looks overwhelming, immense and impossible!  But, praise God, we will do it! It will be accomplished!!  In Matthew 16:18 Jesus said to Peter, “I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.” He also said, “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come” (Mt 24:14).

Watch this short, four-minute video about His church (US!) reaching the unreached people groups of the world.  Please take time to watch it.  https://vimeo.com/228755241

Participate with us in prayer:

  • Pray for more workers – an obedient army that will go to the unreached… Maybe that would be you.
  • Pray that we will have indigenous missionary teams in all the unreached tribes of Liberia.
  • Pray for a great move of the Holy Spirit to sweep through Liberia.
  • Pray that we, Wordsower Liberia leaders, will be filled with the Holy Spirit and fearlessly advance and spread the gospel.

May 2018 Monthly Report

The mission of Wordsower Liberia is to see a healthy church in every village of Liberia. It takes many weapons to fight and win a war. Wordsower Liberia has many weapons.

In war, there are set-backs and casualties. I, Kim, arrived in the USA on April 7th. The next day, I saw a doctor and had a chest X-ray. It was determined that I probably had pneumonia and was given antibiotics. The cough continued so more tests were ordered. The TB test came back positive. I am now going through additional procedures to confirm TB. Please be in prayer. Pray that I will have a quick recovery and be able to return to Liberia soon.

Our teams go to the villages on motorbikes. This month 27 missions were sent out reaching 64 villages in 5 different counties. In the villages we do evangelism, discipleship, church planting, and pastoral training. We also distribute water filter systems.

The second largest killer in Liberia is dirty water. This month we distributed 252 water filter systems in remote village homes that had been drinking dirty water. We also completed follow-up visits in 402 homes in which we had previously distributed filters. Thousands of people are now drinking clean water because of our distribution. This month, every village home in our county, Grand Gedeh, should be drinking clean water. We hope to start working in a new county soon. This project is done in conjunction with The Last Well. We thank them for suppling us with the filters and sharing in the expense of our teams going into the villages.

Our Bible Institute completed a 2-week, Level 4 French class for our Ivory Coast neighbors and their refugees. 18 attended the class. 10 of them received diplomas for completing all four levels. The Bible Institute trains the students in Bible doctrine, discipleship, starting churches, and becoming missionaries.

Our dentist treated 26 patients and extracted 31 teeth.

There are hundreds of testimonies coming from our disciples as they joyfully return from missions. Below is one about the destruction of the regional satanic stronghold in Pynes Town:

My first visit to Pynes Town 9 years ago was by foot and with a guide. We hiked hours to get to the village. There we met three men, Moses, Pyne, and Shadrack. While in Pynes town, they stayed close while our team went door to door evangelizing and distributing blue, pocket-sized, Gideon Bibles. Later they told me that one of them had a dream. In the dream, a white man had come to their town and was giving out little blue Bibles. A voice in the dream said that they should unite with this white man. Today, these three men have become powerful disciple leaders and church planters trained by Wordsower Liberia.

For unknown generations, this region and town has been a stronghold of Satan. Ruled by a spiritual leader called the Devil and his followers, the Devil’s Dancers. Moses, Pyne, and Shadrack have experienced severe persecution. Their homes were torn down. More than once, Pyne has been taken into the “Zoe Bush” and badly beaten by the Devil’s Dancers for starting a church and boldly sharing the gospel. Once our Lord had me arrive just as they started beating Pyne and were trying to drag him into their hidden “Zoe Bush” coven base. I stepped in between. They were confused and didn’t know how to respond, so we were taken to the elders. Our Lord gave wisdom as I spoke and he was released.

The “Devil” comes out in costume bringing fear, violence and death.

Another time, Peter, the Devil, had his Devil Dancers drag Moses into the Zoe Bush. They stripped him naked. By the hand of our Lord, Moses escaped naked and barefoot into the jungle/bush. Bleeding, he ran and hid in a shelter away from the town. Our base in Zwedru is about a 2-hour motorbike trip from Pynes Town. Once again, our Lord happened to have one of our teams in the area. Miraculously, they discovered Moses in the shelter. A pair of rotten pants was acquired and immediately the team took him half naked and wounded back to our base in Zwedru to heal.

Sometime later I visited Pynes Town and found Peter, the Devil, sitting in front of a little shop. I sat down beside him and shared the gospel and about Heaven and Hell. We both knew that many in the town were watching from a distance. As I left, he publicly laughed and ridiculed me. About a month later he found me in Zwedru, the town closest to our base. As I approached him on a motorbike, he began waving frantically in the road, beckoning me to stop. He said we must talk. “I want to know more about God, Heaven, and Hell.”  We sat and talked. I reminded him about our time in front of the shop. He said, “I was only laughing on the outside.” Today, Peter is a Christian. He comes to our base to collect training material that Moses prints on our printing press to take to the church he attends in Pynes Town.

9 years ago, the Pynes Town region was a powerful stronghold of Satan. General Butt Naked came from this region (Google him). Praise God! Today, this regional stronghold has been broken! This is just one testimony of many, broken, satanic strongholds. It seems that they are so easy to destroy. United and guided by the Holy Spirit, all we must do is show up.  Truly the harvest is plentiful and the workers few.

“From the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven has been forcefully advancing, and forceful men lay hold of it.”  Matt 11:12.

Moses is on the left.  On the right is Peter, the former "Devil."

Participate with us in prayer:
Pray for more workers…. Maybe that will be you.
Pray for the continued destruction of Satan’s strongholds in Liberia.
Pray for a great move of the Holy Spirit to sweep through Liberia.
Pray that we, Wordsower Liberia leaders, will be filled with the Holy Spirit and fearlessly advance and spread the gospel.
Pray for my healing and quick return to Liberia.

April 2018 Monthly Report

Our Mission is to see a healthy church in every village of Liberia.  Our Lord is using us to accomplish the mission.  It takes many weapons to fight and win a war.  Wordsower Liberia has many weapons.

In all wars, there are victories and defeats.  There are also terrible causalities. This month we had a fatality. One of our disciples, Jenkins, died in a bike accident returning from mission.  He leaves behind his wife, Kolu, and son.  We will be assisting her in starting a business.

Teams on bikes go to the villages.  This month 39 mission teams went out reaching 73 villages.  Our teams go into remote regions.  Often taking the bike as far as possible and then hiking for hours to reach the village.  It is dangerous.  All have wreaked and bled, most have scars and have had broken bones.    Yet we forcefully advance, bringing the Gospel to the most remote places in the jungle.

Our filter team distributes water filters and as they share the Gospel in the most remote villages. This month they distributed 150 filters in homes and did follow-up visits to 365 homes. Those they go to drink from swamps that you wouldn’t walk in.  Dirty water is the second biggest killer of Liberians.  Malaria is number one.

Our Wordsower Bible Institute finished their level 4 class.  We had 43 students from 6 counties.  Level 4 class prepares students to be missionaries.  Each of the 4 levels lasts 2 weeks.  Several, in this class, have heard our Lord’s call to go to the 5 unreached tribes of Liberia.  Pray with us for the wisdom and ability to send them.

Our print shop ministry prints and distributes Bible training material.  This month we printed over 130,000 pages and distributed over 1,000 booklets titled “What must I do to be saved.”  We also produced hundreds of manuals for our Bible Institute classes.

Our dental program shows our love and compassion as we fulfill a great need here in Grand Gedeh County.  We have the only dentist in 5 counties.  Muslims come plenty to see our dentist and leave hearing the Gospel and experiencing the love of our Lord. This month we had 22 patients, 11 were Muslims.  30 teeth were extracted.

Our Literacy program is now teaching over 20 students how to read in three class levels.  Prayer and worship are a part of each class.  We want them to experience the joy of reading the Scriptures for themselves.

We are now on the radio.  We have an hour-long program each morning from 5-6.  During this hour we teach and preach.

We have the only Bible book store in 6 counties.  It is difficult for the Liberian deep in the bush to get a Bible.  We sell Bible reference books and Bibles at our cost.  We also have pocket size Bibles we give free.

We treat illnesses.  Malaria is the biggest killer of the Liberian.  Malaria treatment is about $1.  We diagnose and treat Malaria, small wounds and common sicknesses.  We also will cover the costs of medicines for others who have seen a doctor.

Participate with us in prayer:
Pray for the family of Jenkins who died while on mission.
Pray for our May Bible Institute French level 4 class
Pray for a great move of the Holy Spirit to sweep through Liberia.
Pray that we, Wordsower Liberia leaders, will be filled with the Holy Spirit.
